Testing Your Spiritual Gifts:
 

Hey guys, I was curious about something. I wanted to "test" my spiritual gifts. Sometimes I "feel" something come on strong and anointed here and I post and somebody might PM me about how I nailed something I didn't know. I've been studying a lot about the "seer" and the gifts that accompany the "seer anointing". This has led me into studying and praying through angelic realities and spiritual realities I never really paid much attention to.

So... I started to feel a hunger to test my gifts. I tried to find ministries on the internet that might assist in this, but most are like seminars and only offer questionnaires and encouragement to dive in. So while surfing... I found a site that I don't want to name. It's not Christian. It's a website that allows a person to test their psychic/medium abilities. They have an interesting format. A person will upload a picture and simply ask someone to "read" it. So... I thought... "Wow. Let's see if the Spirit can guide me in this and maybe we'll see if Word of Knowledge and/or Discernment of Spirits is unleashed."

The results have been interesting and have even challenged me. I've tried not to wax too "religious" at this stage because I'm just trying out these spiritual waters.

What follows is a posting of two, what they call "readings", that I gave regarding two pictures. I know this is unconventional. I'm just thinking of it as a "spiritual experiment".

I'm changing the names to protect the innocent. lol

It is a little girl with brown hair in pincurls she has on one of those dresses with all the ruffles from the 10s or20s like a flapper dress for girls. Black button up boots with white socks. She seems like someone who liked to have her pic taken

Christopher: I'm new at this. Forgive me if I violate any rules. I just reviewed them and I'm hoping that my post is acceptable.

I feel like I see a girl who was rather sheltered. She's very depressed. Played a lot with dolls. Not allowed to play outside much. At times she'd stand at the top of the stairs and just look out the window at other children, possibly siblings. I feel a LOT of family tension in the home, especially against one of the parents. Also, the parents had much tension between themselves. Although they tried to keep the tensions private. I see an old car. It's driving away.

That's all I got at the moment.


Carol: You are spot on about the tensions around the parents n children n the daughter was depressed


Christopher: I'm seeing alcohol. Not sure about what I saw relating to a car. Seems out of place. I see lots of hurt. They were supposed to love her and care for her. She doesn't understand why.


Carol: They did have a car n father liked a drink n they did love her its not the parents who were hurting her or them selves,


Christopher: Carol... TMI. Now I have static.


Christopher: I know you said that it's not the parents who hurt her. However, I still feel a lot of negativity towards one parent over something. I can't shake it.


Carol: Yes your right she put blame on parents n when this was taken no one had been up stairs for four years


Carol: Do you know were this pick was taken n what house


Christopher: No. No clue.


Phil: not mentioned that yet carol


Carol: Im not saying anything yet phil just avin food ha

Christopher: I've never done this before. Are y'all pulling my leg? It seemed like you were saying that I was getting close.

Christopher: A car keeps flashing in my mind. I feel like she was really sheltered and enjoyed taking trips in the car. I was also seeing some kind of tea cup set.


Christopher: Just static now.


Carol: Yes your right she loved to get out of house


Christopher: Carol... was this a close relative or someone close? What's your connection?


Christopher: I ask that because suddenly I saw your name jump out on the page.


Phil: carol is the neighbour to this property

Does anyone have a message for me? or do you see anything in this picture?

Christopher: I feel like you've been disappointed in love and that you've been let down by people you trusted. You have quite a bit of life experience that has brought you wisdom. You tend to have a lot of empathy for others, I see a big heart. If you haven't considered a care providing profession, you might want to. It will fulfill your desire to be serving a higher purpose and allow you to be your empathetic self. You value family and motherhood. You also have many spiritual questions about God. Interesting, I also see a church with open doors. Do you have friends or family actively encouraging you to join them in your family's faith tradition? Maybe you should consider it and allow yourself that spiritual development.

Germaine: yes I have been hurt by love but its always because they die...funny you say about

Christopher: Anything else resonate?

Germaine: care providing cuz I ran a daycare for children...I do believe in God and been thinking of going to church again;-)

Germaine: yes I do have a big heart and I try to avoid any hurtful situation

Christopher: Going to church with close friends or family can't hurt. And it will add to your spiritual development. I'd encourage that you go. I feel positive about it.

Are these words from God? Something God showed you or something you perceived from your own human intuition?

I sincerely prayed for the anointing to rest on me and to empower me to see into the spiritual and have things revealed. I only scanned the page when I felt the Spirit. And I only commented on that which I felt "drawn" to comment upon. Passed up quite a bit. I also stop when I don't feel it any more.

They didn't come in "words" like a voice in my head or letters flashing through my mind. Some things seemed to be "snap shots" in my mind or short video-like images. The rest is more of a spiritual "feeling" or "impression" deep in my heart. My entire body was tingling, like when you hear a really awesome song and you get goose bumps all over. I've only felt that one place... church... or while in private prayer and worship.

I'll tell you what I'm feeing right now - - that you have a lot of nerve to post this here knowing that some could throw stones your way.

I know. I don't want to have stones thrown at me or to offend. I'm just curious about my gifts, if I have any. And I'm not finding much outlet to release what I feel inside. :(

I DON'T agree with psychics and mediums. However, it was the only venue I found where I could "unleash" what I'm feeling and see what happens. Seems like a few of them were a bit taken aback at how close things were getting. Should some of them begin to really take interest in what they are reading... I'm going to reveal that I'm an Apostolic Pentecostal. Maybe one of them needs to see what God can do. Maybe... my staff will eat their serpents. I don't know.

The only other way I've been able to do this is when witnessing on the street. But people get real freaked out sometimes... and... sometimes I get too nervous to walk up to a stranger and read their mail. Lastly, there aren't many people that I know who want to hit the streets and do this unless it's a "church function" with their names on it. :(

Well, we are suppose to be spiritual and I believe if God has given anyone gifts - they should use them.

And I know. That's why this is the ONLY Christian place wherein I'd feel safe enough to post this spiritual experiment.
