Looking for a good book to read besides the Bible

Hello, I am in the search for a good Christian Book to read besides the Bible, you see I go to a book club at my local library and this month's book is not to my liking at all.
As of late all the books the ladies pick -they are much older then I am- seem to want the romantic, love books that make my stomach flip with the idea of touching one! I mean seriously these books should not be in the hands of anyone, they are trash!
Anyway I am looking for a good Christian book, I love fantasy and fiction but love a wonderful adventure and wish these ladies would take a hint for me and guard what they think is 'good' reading.
So help me out in finding a good book, I do not mind even if it is young adult for I have read Dragons in our Midst, Oracles of Fire and Children of the Bard all by Bryan Davis.
I am so ready to put down a book list as long as a yard if I have to, need a good read to really set my summer off. ~Bonnie

When I was growing up in old time Pentecost there were 3 acceptable things to read;

1. Bible
2. Reader's Digest
3. Louis L'amour Western novels

I like Kirsten Billerbeck (she sent me a free book last year), Melody Carson (humorous authors) and Dee Henderson (suspense). You can Google these authors.

I just answered you Post on another Thread, so I'll put it here also.

I have just finished the best book that I ever read on praying in unknown tongues.

The Walk of the Spirit, The Walk of Power” by Dave Roberson

It is free on Amazon, to read on the Kindle. (Not sure about paperback0

The Bible tells us to walk in the Spirit, and we won't fulfill the lusts of the flesh. If people would get serious enough to crave to walk in the Spirit, they will see a great change.
