I check out my movies at the library. :) Of course, I am also a librarian so I have to put in a plug there.

Other than TV shows...nothing much.

Amazon and Hulu have the same "b" movies, mixed in with a scant few better movies. At one time, I had a free trial for both, but decided to stay with Netflix because they seemed to include newer movies more often.

We get movies from the library too, though it's hard getting any new releases. They're usually on hold before being released.

Netflix is OK if you like seeing less-known movies, obscure documentaries, etc. (I highly recommend "How Beer Saved the World" :lol) But name an old favorite and search for it: about a 1% chance they'll have it. ;)

Used to subscribe to BlockBuster's mail service for DVDs and BluRays. They had pretty much everything. Thinking of going back to that. (Is it still around?)

I need to cancel Netflex, since we rarely watch anything. Too few current movies....

Where can you get more recent DVD's? Redbox is okay, but they only have a couple of the more recent movies.

Hulu is primarily TV shows. And, Netflix is B movies.

Re: Hulu

Not sure what people consider "b" movies. There are quite a few box office hits on Netflix right now. Sure, Netflix isn't able to release even half of the movies released to DVD, but for $8/mo you won't find a much better deal.

I tried Hulu and while it's good for tv shows, the movie list when I used a trial was comparable to Crackle, which is free. It was worse than Netflix.

Amazon costs more, and has a majority b-grade movies than box office hits. The only thing that was worth the price was the free shipping and priority account; but the recent action by Congress forcing online sales tax has nullified any benefit of ordering through Amazon.
