Barkley get's it almost right

“Well I agree with the verdict,” Barkley said. “I feel sorry that young kid got killed, but they didn’t have enough evidence to charge him. Something clearly went wrong that night — clearly something went wrong — and I feel bad for anybody who loses a kid, but if you looked at the case and you don’t make it — there was some racial profiling, no question about it — but something happened that changed the dynamic of that night.”

"These punks always get away."

The ones that want to view that as a racial comment will never be convinced that it's not.

Barkley, and anyone else, are really saying, "I know it is young black males committing a large percentage of these crimes."

In reality, they are the ones doing the racial profiling. They aren't realizing what they saying in their comments.

They are also saying...if it's a black kid and a non black person (Like zimmerman) it's automatically racial profiling

In the same vein as to who gets to use the "N" word as per Jeantel.

Does profiling happen? Sure, but just because the Korean liquor store's owner in an all black neighborhood is eyeballing every customer that comes in does not make him racist

I once went to Compton with a friend. We walked to the corner store and guess what? The owner eyeballed me walking around the store.

Wise man! ..... Just kidding, Praxeas! I do have a question tho! What makes profiling all that bad. It would seem to me that in some cases it's just wise to profile!

There is a difference between racial and criminal profiling. I don't believe you will find anyone in law enforcement who will tell you that race and ethnicity is not going to be included in the data they collect.

Racial profiling is based solely on "hate" for "color". It appears from GZ's comments that he evaluated TM based on criminal profiling.

Charles nailed it on CNN. He criticized the media for jumping on race issues and antagonizing it

If im being robbed by white guys every weekend then i aint lookin for no blacks, simple ! Conversely true stat, that i heard, if 78 percent of the murders/gun crimes are being commited by 23 percent of the population in NY, who am i going to be looking for ? you got it, the 23 percent ,simple math not profiling.

I was driving once with a friend when I got pulled over seemingly for no reason. I said "why did he pull me over?"

My friend answered seriously "because I'm black"....it seems I forgot to put my stickers on and my tags were expired

Another time a friend and I went to a restaurant just before closing. As we were eating this guy tries to get in. They open the door and they say "We're closed"...he replies "but what about them? You served them...is it because I'm black?"

I believe most black Americans view most "actions" by non-whites as racial prejudice because of those examples and others I see in the news. People like Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton perpetuate this mindset.

Does racism still exist? Of course but that does not mean everything is about race
