Questions I have About Jesus

Matthew, Chapter 1

18: Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
19: Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
20: But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22: Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23: Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
24: Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
25: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

What Prophet said this and where is it written?

Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Why did they call him Jesus instead of Emmanuel if spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, they shall call his name Emmanuel?

"And the Word became flesh or made flesh"
Was the flesh of Jesus... the flesh of God, was God flesh?

Isaiah spoke those words - Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14

The flesh was not God, but Jesus was God in flesh. People are made of five areas (for a lack of a better term) the heart, the spirit, the soul, the mind, the flesh. God found Himself in the likeness of a man (Philippians 2:7) but was still God in character (1 Timothy 3:16) and all of the Godhead was in His bodily form (Colossians 2:9).

Jesus was God incarnate, but the flesh did pray to the Spirit. When Jesus prayed, it was the mortal flesh praying to the immortal Spirit. As to the specifics of your question, I'm not sure the Bible ever said Jesus worshiped at all.

I can break this down a little better by going a little more in-depth into the heart/spirit/soul/mind/flesh teaching, but I'll wait on that to see if this makes sense to you so far.

They did not name Jesus ...Immanuel, therefore how can this prophecy be about about him?

Did Jesus Bow down, make reverence and obey, never being equal or above God.
Yes or no?

Isaiah 7:14

Sometimes "name" is used not for a personal name but for what someone will be called. For example he is called the lamb of God. He is called Son of God.
