So sad....

While Phil Robertson meant it about abortion, his statement, "what have we become," is relevant to this situation.

What have we become? People are so rude. So violent. So angry.

I read a story this morning about 3 kids who fatally shot a baseball player in the back...said they did it because they "were bored."

What have we become?

Humans are and have been for a LONG time, something very vile and I truly believe that Gods biggest accomplishment (the creation of humans) has become his biggest disgrace~ I now know why Hell is enlarging itself daily!

I have a sneaking suspicion that it was someone other than an adult who wrote that. It reads an awful lot like many messages left in the comments section following a new story, blog, or review. In today's internet age, they are usually referred to as "trolls".

I'm not following you here...

"someone other than an adult..." I'd be surprised to find any kid that can type something up like that without having a ton of spelling errors and a lot of slang. Besides, the letter addressed the author as having "normal kids," which would indicate an adult.

As far as comparing it to trolling comment sections...I don't see the similarity. This was very personal. Trolls tend to just fire away with the accuracy of a WWII French machine gun, which never hit anything. (Actually, now that I think about it, I'm not even sure it was fired...)

The letter was written by someone who lives in the building. Someone with a view of the front yard.

So did God fail?

Biggest disgrace??????? Come on, GC! Why would God create something He is ashamed of?

Back to the Cross for some enlightenment. Humans are weak, unlearned, and bound by Culture, and these alone are enough to warrant mercy on the sinful.

We are not God and we surely don't know what His biggest accomplishment is/was/will be.

I'm not quite sure how you DON'T see the similarities. I subscribe to quite a few YouTube channels and the vicious comments that some people make toward a video can be shocking, and they do not all sound read like they were written by a young child filled with spelling errors. And shoot, just because someone mentioned that they can "see your kid playing in the front lawn" means diddly. I could email someone in Nevada and put it "I think your dog is ugly!", having never seen it and they wouldn't know the difference.

Again, it very well COULD be a real neighbor, but it reads a LOT like an older teen or young adult just trying to cause trouble.

:) Now that you mention it, the letter looks like posts I've seen on a football bbs site after a loss, when the author is completely smashed and just venting his frustration. But I still think it's too personal to be a troll.

I don't know of any teen or young adult who uses words like are in the letter: Proximity. Dreadful. Vamose. Euthanize. There is one word missing from the letter...."like." Like, this totally was not, like, written by a teenager.

I misread something though, they live nearby; not in the same building. At first, I thought it was an apartment complex; however, reading over it again, it sounds like a neighborhood with houses.

Maybe it is a young adult, and perhaps they are just trying to cause trouble. In any case, it's a horrid, pathetic, and callous letter and they should apologize once they sober up.
