Do You Believe Jesus' Words?

Joh 6:53 So Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves.
Joh 6:54 "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.
Joh 6:55 "For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink.
Joh 6:56 "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.
Joh 6:57 "As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me.
Joh 6:58 "This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live forever."

Yes, I was going to mention this on the baptism poll but then thought better of it, didn't want to hijack that thread... so glad you have brought up this point.

Apparently the NT church thought it was quite important to celebrate the Lord's Supper with communion whenever they got together, as we read in 1 Cor. 11:20-34

The Lord's Supper is not mentioned in the Heb. 6:1 tenet of the faith statement, but, it is apparently a practice that the Early Church participated in as a symbolic thing, and certainly the words of Jesus would make us to understand from John 6, and also during the Last Supper, that this was something we should do as oft as we meet together .... hmm.... it does bother me that the church nowadays do not as a whole practice this except maybe once a year (on New Year's Day) if they do it at all...

Do you believe you were participating with Jesus' teaching in John 6.

Joh 6:58 "This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live forever."

OK. How do I, 2000 years after Jesus was received up into heaven "eat his flesh"?

The same way His disciples ate His flesh, drank His blood.

Jesus said this would result in eternal life.

Ok, so, how did his disciples eat His flesh and drink His blood.

If it were not possible to eat and drink, Jesus wouldn't have taught it. Per scripture, this is how they ate and drank.

Mat 26:26 While they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, "Take, eat; this is My body."
Mat 26:27 And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you;
Mat 26:28 for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.

Do you believe that?
