Name of Book

I'm thinking of naming my book “The Straight and Narrow for the Open Minded” It seems like opposites. Many people think of Pentecostals as narrow minded, but I believe it is just the opposite, you have to be open minded, to hear from God. Open minded to obey his Word, even when all is against you.

What do you think?
Is it a good name?
Any suggestions?

Since it is 'strait' in the Bible. It will be strait.

Strait---probably from the base of <G2476> (histemi); narrow (from obstacles standing close about) :- strait.
Strong's

Quote:

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it
.

Quote:

Narrow--Vine's Words: Afflict, Affliction, Narrow, Press, Strait (be in a), Straitened, Throng, Trouble--

akin to the base of <G5147> (tribos); to crowd (literal or figurative) :- afflict, narrow, throng, suffer tribulation, trouble----Strongs
Straight---a straight line, road, etc.

If people are told, being a Christian is all Joy and Peace, they have been told a lie. It is a rough road, a narrow way---full of tribulation and trouble, and the strait gate, that you enter (my way of looking at it) can be as narrow or broad as you as you make it. You can narrow it down, to follow Jesus, for two reasons, 1. Following Jesus will build your character, to be like Him. And Christians should have the most honest, firm, solid, loving character as is possible. And obtain joy and peace even in the middle of trouble.

2. To obtain eternal life.

Or, you can even be born again, and follow the broad way of fun and games, not serious about what you do. If it feels good, do it, and end up in destruction. Most people looking for fun, don't know what joy is. But that's what they are seeking, but fun doesn't last.

God taught me how a person can have joy and peace even in the midst of trouble, after the death of my daughter, age 39 and died of brain cancer. I was heartbroken and then even though my mother was 97, we never want to give them up, She died 3 Mo later.

One night at a house church, I told them how heartbroken I was, they gathered around me and prayed, and I was very surprised at the peace and joy that I felt. Although I still miss them, that deep sadness left me.

Death of a family member no matter how painful is not tribulation or persecution for the cause of Christ and Him crucified and believing upon His Name.. Even the heathen have to bury family.

True, Navy. And I didn't mean it as persecution, but to show how God can give peace, no matter the problem.

Matthew 7:14 NKJV

Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
