Does Your Church Witness?
By this I mean have an outreach to the community? This is a poll question.
1. My Church has an organized plan to witness in the community. 2. Some people in my Church get together and do witnessing. 3. Our Church has no organized witnessing. I cant remember how to make a poll so if it does not show "poll" just comment in the thread. |
Re: Does Your Church Witness?
I can't comment, because I can't find a church that I can go to.
And I am afraid, very afraid, that I am not a good witness, as far as speaking out, because I don't go anywhere much. I do try to be a good witness to my family. And those around me, by my life. |
Re: Does Your Church Witness?
Sad but true:
Almost never are all members always involved. Doesn't matter how much it gets preached (every service, sometimes) some just won't step up and speak out. I would say my church is fairly faithful, but it's obvious that some are way more committed than others, on an individual level. |
Re: Does Your Church Witness?
I am a little scared to bring visitors to my church.

When Suzie cut the rug does a dance ALWAYS directly in from of the pulpit(why there?) with hair to her ankles spinning around and u can't see her, just hair. and like last wk when the pastor says I'm feeling something strong in the Spirit, and brother John breaks the silent pause thru letting out a wild banshee scream that would raise the dead, and takes a lap, then the crowd claps and praises... Sorta freaks me out and I been going for atleast 15 yrs straight. Not sure my guest would say what we always hear, "They want what we got"! |

Re: Does Your Church Witness?
We are part of a home fellowship, and we make it a part of everyday living to spread the gospel to everyone wherever we go, and it is a committed thing with all who attend our meeting.
Our group has prayed for the high school our children attend, and a wonderful thing has happened at the school recently! The school has allowed a prayer club to form, which meets early in the morning where the kids lead the devotions. My children have been a part of leading the devotions there, and both of them come home every day sharing how they have listened, and witnessed to their friends about the Lord. My daughter has listened to many girls share their sad stories of issues they are dealing with, and she constantly points them to Christ. This is the most effective way to show others Christ, just live it every single day, and let His love shine out of your life. |
Re: Does Your Church Witness?
Apparently my church does witness as without any advertising or promotion (other than two articles in the last few years about our church in the small local newspaper) and being located in an out of the place we have grown from a handful of people to around 900 in 5 years.
Our pastor incorporates in pretty much every sermon the idea of us ministering to other people in our everyday life and our mission, the Great Commission. |
