HELP! Ear Infection w/ Dizzy Spells!

Last week, I noticed that my right ear was itching pretty intensely. I really couldn't get to it, but I found that if moved my whole ear up and down, it kind of relieved the itch.

Fast forward to today-- Day 3 of getting dizzy whenever I move. Ear doesn't really ache badly, just a very dull ache but it does still itch. Ear drops are not working. Hydrogen Peroxide makes the crackling noise, but I don't want to overuse it.

I notice that whenever I put the drops and peroxide in their, not nearly as much ever drains out. :(

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I can still hear just fine, but my hearing seems slightly muted out of my right ear. :(

A friend of mine has something like this and was diagnosed with "Inner Ear Infection". I will pray for you.

Jermyn, When I have ear aches, I have some mashed garlic in olive oil, almond sweet oil might be better. Then put cotton in your ear and be sure to keep it warm. If I go out in any wind, even a warm wind, it will give me a ear ache, so I have to cover my ears.

But the dizziness, that sounds like the inner ear, and you might have to have help from a Dr. I have found that the walk in Clinic at Wallgreens, is pretty good.

Go to the Dr. Stop putting junk in it. Seriously. If you do have an infection that crud won't help.

When I was a kid I had a really bad ear infection that went from one ear to the other. By the time I could get to a Dr one ear drum ruptured and I was stone deaf for 2 weeks. Go to the Dr.

I agree with Prax. You ought to go to a Dr and let him take
alook at what's going on in there. Those ears get infected it
sure will make you dizzy. Praying for you brother.

From what I read on the web, it's bad. Go to the doc QUICK is good advice.

Yes, go to a doctor as soon as you can as your problem will only get worse ubtil you get something to treat it. And if the dizziness is making things difficult, take Dramamine (generic name Meclizine) to help.

Yep go to the doctor and they'll probably give you some antibiotics this time.

I never got ear infections as a child, but as an adult I seemed to get them all the time and had to go to the doctor a lot to get it drained or sucked out. I have a friend in church who's an audiologist and while in the beginning of an ear infection episode which always started out with itching, she looked into my ears and could see they were irritated. She told me to go home and dip a qtip in mineral oil and insert it just into the beginning of my ear canal letting the oil run into it.

I did this and the next day there was no itching. Every time I started to feel irritated in my ears I did this and always avoided an infection. I haven't had an episode now for a couple of years.
