A Serious Apostolic Discussion on Angel Hair...
Pasta...
I like it tossed.. with Pesto.... or garlic & Butter... or browned butter & Mizithra Cheese...mmmm.....mmmm...Good!! |
If you have a good red sauce, it's great with that too
|
I knew it! LOL!
I like angel hair used in spaghetti, since I don't care much for pasta. There is also a Filipino dish I love called 'pancit'. Haven't had it in years, but the stuff was good hot or cold. |
I grow my own basil and oregano of course but you can buy it at the market.
two cups basil leaves 1 cup fresh parsely leaves 1 cup parmesian cheese(fresh ground is best.) 1 cup olive oil 2 pods of garlic 1/4 cup pinenuts(may be ommitted) salt black pepper In your processor buzz the basil/garlic/parsley/oil. add the pinenuts/salt/pepper and cheese and buzz a few times more. Stir this into freshly prepared angel hair.More cheese can be added later. This goes great with grilled steak or chicken. When you fix the angel hair and set it aside stir in a teaspoon or two of real butter. It really makes a difference. You can refrigerate this and use it later. It is so good.I love it when spring and summer comes so I can grow tons of basil and grill and have this outdoor.God is good. |
Ron if you like a marinara sauce make it and get it bubbling in the skillet and add this to it.It will make you never go back to any other sauce. You can add clams if you want to use linguini

Cut up and cook up some chicken tenders and mix your cooked pasta with a 1/4 stick of butter and some Dijon sauce mix. It is heaven on earth.
