Nag Hammadi

Just finished reading an 800 page book titled: "The Nag Hammadi Scriptures". Wasn't real impressed. Mostly a bunch of gnostic jibberish. Only nugget I found was the "Teachings of Silvanus".

Was originally interested in reading it, just to see what the mind-set of people was shortly after the resurrection of my Lord. The tractate...like the Dead Sea Scrolls...was found preserved in clay vessels. It dates between the first and fourth century after my Lord's resurrection.

Just curious if any of my brothers or sisters on the forum have read this, and what your thoughts on it are. Thanx.

I have a copy of the NagHamadi texts. Not impressed and difficult reading through the garbage. Congratulations for your perseverance.

Thanks. I thought so also, but I will admit that reading Peanuts and Garfield doesn't enhance folks opinion of me being studious. :heeheehee
