Let's read what the Word tells us about a believer who sins:

"Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted." Galatians 6:1

A Christian believes that homosexuality is a sin. I don't consider a person a Christian who takes another view. It is contrary to God's Word.

Romans 1:26 calls it a "vile affection". As much as we want to be kind and I believe Huckabee was being kind, we must hold his view on this issue. It is not our Word to change.

If I support that person embracing what the Bible terms a "vile affection", how am I restoring them as per Galatians instructions?

I was anticipating your next question. So, if we realize we have a responsibility to rescue a believer, what more responsibility do we have to rescue an unbeliever?

"Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins." James 5:20

"Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives." Jude 1:23

Would it be right to require a Jew to photograph a Nazis pride celebration or an African American bake cakes for a kkk meeting, or a Muslim to provide the floral arrangments for a koran burning event? The obvious answer to all of these questions is no. Even though each of these types of meeting are legal it would be insane to imagine that anyone wwould think it was okay to force a Jew or an African American or a Muslim to have anything to do with any of these senarios that they would find utterly offensive! Why then would anyone think it is right to FORCE christians to photograph, bake good, or provided floral decorations for what is offensive to them?

Great quote. And frankly, there are enough people willing to service gay weddings, there's no need to impose upon anyone's religious beliefs. Would they sue a Muslim or Conservative Jewish business for not providing a service for a gay wedding? Nope. It's clearly an attack against Christians.

Well, at least that's a better analogy than Huckabee's: would you force a Muslim artist to draw a picture of Mohammed? That is explicitly forbidden for a Muslim.

It's all about perception. The groups you mentioned (Nazi's, KKK, etc.) are perceived to be inherently evil.

Homosexuals are not perceived that way, so no one understands the offense Christians have toward the homosexual lifestyle.
