GLORY TO GOD IT SO ANYHOW we have throne holiness out the windows PRAISE GOD IM SAVED SANCTIFIED AND FILLED WITH HEAVENS SWEET HOLY GHOST AND HAVE LONG HAIR HOLINESS OR HELL i went to revival the ohte nite and someone asked me how i kep my hair so long and that it was such a burden when she had long hair i loked at her and said because GOD COMMANDS HOLINESS AND WITHOUT HOLINESS NO MEN SHALL SEE THE LORD I showed her the BIBLE verses about long hair and she started crying and prayed threw to old time salvation even before the church started ITS SO ANYHOW HOLINESS OR HELL Beaulah |

God put hair on our legs and under our arm pits...wonder if we are not supposed to cut those either. LOL I'm not saying that to start any kind of debate (by the way I do shave. LOL) I was wondering something..and I'm not asking this to challenge anyone's beliefs.. I'm new here after all and do not want to ruffle feathers, but is there an actual verse in the Bible that says if a woman cuts her hair she will go to hell? I have read all the verses about long hair but to go as far as making it a salvation issue? There are so many other verses in the Bible that people choose not to obey saying they are not relevant for today. If following rules is what is going to get us to heaven then we are all in trouble because if you are going to follow one you better be willing to follow them all. Every church I have been to, whether Pentecostal or Trinitarian the women all talk in church, yet in the same section where Paul was talking about hair he says women are to be silent in church. I think it is wonderful if a woman grows her hair long to honor God, but i have seen so many that are vain about their hair..they take hours primping before church to get their hair just right..that does not seem very modest to those who witness it. if the long hair is the woman's glory what if she is supposed to always have it down? what if having it up is the same as having it short? that would stink. lol Bottom line.. I think if a person is going to grow their hair they need to check their hearts and know exactly why they are doing it...for their own glory so others will admire it or for God's glory.

If you judge modesty only by uncut hair or dresses or sleeves, then you really have lost the truth about holiness. I have actually seen greater holiness in women who wear pants, who have cut hair, and who wear makeup than I have in many of the so-called conservative Apostolic churches. Their holiness is something to be admired, because they pray, they seek God, they stay in humble submission to both their husbands and the leaders of the church, and they do not brag on how holy they are.
Holiness is an entire lifestyle, not just the dress. when you can be holy outside according to standards, but still be filled with pride, arrogance, murder, gossip, backbiting, and envy, then you are not holy. You are carnal, wicked, and sinful. But, when you live modestly, when your attitude becomes godliness, when your life reflects a love for God and His Word, then that is true holiness. Let me share this as well. Paul used a cultural standard at that time to teach a scriptural truth, one of submission. At that time in Corinth, long hair was the standard for women. It was a symbol of the role a woman had in society. Today, even when women cut their hair, they stay obedient and in submission to the role God has ordained for them, as helpmates to their husbands, and in working under godly leadership. |

No scripture says it is a sin for a woman to trim her hair. Her long hair is her glory. How can anyone make that say "uncut"?
