These kinds of laws are in effect already in 7 Kentucky cities. No doubt they present themselves as merely keeping "gays" from being discriminated against in things such as work situations.

But we will see. When Ministers refuse to marry gays they WILL be punished in their various cities. And since the courts have struck down our traditional marriage law it will soon be statewide.

Even in conservative states like Kentucky, the liberals always end up controlling the cities. This is where the State governments must step in and defend their citizens , from both Federal tyranny and enemies within their borders. If we do not have a States rights revolution soon we will fall. The problem is too many people believe that we are "one nation under God". We are not. We are 50 nations in a confederation. At the Constitutional convention the Framers banned the word "national" and "nation" from being used in any of the documents. They were creating a republic, not a consolidated nation. You are a citizen of your State FIRST.

Did you read the article? They're operating as a for profit business, not as a church.

The early Christians were quite willing to go into prison and even unto death, but would not recognize Caesar as a God, which was the law of the empire.

all a Christian had to do, was to put a little pinch of incense in the altar, and they were free. (come on Christians just a little pinch) But they refused no way they were going to give in not even a little pinch, not even under threats of death.

Hmm. I doubt it, KBTW, if only because most 'ministers' of God are not ordained by men...but Hou illuminates a similar point, that being that real marriage occurs outside of human law. We are talking about 'legal' marriages here. That pastors or other elected officials conduct marriages is strictly human custom.

So, while I agree with FZ, and would not want to conduct a homosexual marriage, we are after all discussing a legal artifice, and not the real thing.

The real question is not what we would not want to conduct, but what we will definitely not ever do, not even under threats of death.

I myself would not want to eat spinach, yet when threaten by my wife, I sheepishly caved in and ate my spinach.

We must let Caesar know in no uncertain terms, that it is not that we would not want to conduct homosexual marriage, but that we will not conduct homosexual marriages, not even under threats of death.

Hmm, tempting...and I empathize with your point. However, I would surely be drawn into resisting Caesar in that scenario, rather than superseding him. And, aren't we to render unto C that which is C's, if we're talking legal Union and not actual marriage?
