Urgent prayer needed for a college student
 

Earlier this month a former High School student of mine contacted me asking for prayer. She is going to college in Orlando. She's 20 yrs old. She did not go into detail but said was really scared and was in a horrible situation. I prayed with her right there.

Last night I felt lead to contact her to see how she was doing . This was her sobering response...


Please pray for this girl. I'm so broke these days that taking my wife to see her, maybe buying her lunch, is next to impossible. My heart breaks for her and I'm thankful she trusted me enough to share this.

Praying. It's a scary thing to send your children off to college in the day in which we live. praying that God will open doors.

Praise God he has blessed us with a way to be able to minister to this young lady!

i spoke to her again this evening after leaving her some serious "food for thought" last night on her FB inbox. I gave the analogy of being trapped in a web and having to be rescued before the enemy can rain the life out of us, and that spiritually that is where we are at.

She understood fully. But I am concerned this might go deeper than I previously thought. She says she feels "trapped with no way out" and "I just can't imagine how there can be a way out for me". I'm concerned that someone has control over her (maybe drugs/prostitution) and that is why she sees no escape. But she has not chosen yet to divulge much detail. Please continue to pray for her.

I am always frustrated when I see young people believing theyre trapped ... I want to push a button and cause them to grow up 20yrs so they can see that so many things we once thought were so powerful and important just ain't.

If only I knew then what I know now... etc.

Yes it is hard to determine at times when we are witnessing drama or if someone is truly in a tough spot, especially with young people.

I will be continuing in prayer for this young lady, and for the Lord to give you wisdom in helping her through this situation that she is in.
