Dignity? Taking 21 days to ensure she doesn't have Ebola is somehow stripping her of her dignity? It's not unreasonable for the school to ask her to remain away for 21 days. She wasn't being quarantined. She wasn't under house arrest. She simply was asked to stay home from school another 3 weeks.

Per the WHO, the parents have every right to be nervous. The WHO put out a warning that, due to Kenya being a major transportation hub with many flights in and out of W Africa, it was "High Risk" for an outbreak.

Hope the teacher's dignity can pay her bills.

There are times to make a stand, this wasn't the time.

This Ebola junk is a smoke screen to hide something and I'm not sure what it is... yet.

I am glad the Nurse in Maine is refusing to cave in to the fear and hysteria of others as well.

So the dude in Dallas didn't really die of Ebola? The thousands reported infected in W. Africa aren't really infected?

Would you send your kid to a schoolroom in which the teacher just traveled from an airport which is a major hub to/from countries with Ebola?

Yes.

Again, the lack of logic is astounding.

The guy who died in Dallas came through the Dallas Airport-- should everyone who went through that airport be quarantined?

The lady went to a country half a continent away from the Ebola scare.

Or maybe everyone who has ever gone through the airport in Kenya whould be quarantined.

I blame the media in large part behind the hysteria concerning this disease.

It's not a lack of logic. The guy who died in Dallas wasn't symptomatic until after he arrived. Kenya's airport is a major hub to the Western countries with Ebola. Logic would dictate that logically there could be symptomatic passengers from W. Africa flying to or through Kenya.

To claim it's illogical to believe this is rather, illogical.

I agree that the 24/7 news cycle, along with internet media, have fueled the flame.

I still don't blame any parent for their concerns about this teacher. It's better to be wrong and find out in 21 days that there was no reason to be alarmed, than to not have some concern and find a child has been infected.
