Submission to Leadership....It would have been better to say "Is not being discipled". Much of what is preached as "submission" is simply spiritual abuse and manipulation. "Does not tithe"- ....Why not rephrase that one "is not a giver"? There are godly people who do not believe the Bible mandates 10% giving for the New Testament church, yet they do stress sacrifical giving. |

3. Doesn’t pay tithes
If the potential mate doesn’t pay their tithes or give to the church then you should stay far away from that person. Not paying tithes can bring a curse upon a household. You can easily ask your pastor if that person pays their tithes faithfully. Where is this located at in scripture? |

Re: 7 Warning Signs of a Disastrous Relationship
Aaron, the root problem in Christian marriages failing is carnality.
Two folks can go through life together and never give a penny and stay married in the world. The Christian however, must stay submitted to their God and keep their "old man" on the cross. In a Christian marriage, we become "jekyl and hyde" by bottling up the old man, then releasing it on our mate.(shocking them, and resembling a mental disorder) In the world, they are the same old sinners daily.(predictable) This has NOTHING to do with money in my opinion. If nothing else, money problems can cause our "jekyl and hyde" or "old man" to surface. God wont curse a marriage (as you posted in #3), neither sinner or saint! |
