As I sat eating a truck load of bacon strips this morning for breakfast ... I, indeed, had a revelation.
It dawned on me that many of arguments of the today's ANTI-TV zealots were the same as those in Act 15:5
"But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command [them] to keep the law of Moses."
I could hear them now spewing their hate towards Paul and his unclean friends at the Council of Jerusalem.
Pharisee Christian #1: These are long established laws in the Bible ... [notice there was no manual to take precedence] . Are you going to tell us that these old men of God were wrong?????? Jesus fulfilled the law!!!! and they won't????
Pharisee Christian #2: Allowing a non-Jewish uncircumcised Gentile to preach is hypocritical .... And if they have unclean pork in their homes how can they be clean???
Pharisee Christian #3: If we open the door on this one ... what's next??? Before you know it ... they'll be having church on Sundays OR not playing country music during worship service. Standards of holiness will detiorate.
Pharisee Christian #4: Men of God are grieved to see that we've come to this point ...we weep ... Clearly its a sign of the last days. The love of many is waxing cold!!!!!
Pharisee Christian #5: Titus, is a rebel ... He won't let us have his foreskin. James, they need to turn in their cards!!!!!!!
Entire P.C. chorus [in a rage-filled euphoria, reminiscent to an Islamic extremist anti-West protest]: This is our org ... our church!!!!! We started it ... IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT JUST LEAVE!!!!!
