Song My Wife Wrote And Performs
Some of the videos portray real life in the background, as we are the parents of three young children. The a/v quality is what it is, being just a low-end digital camera, or laptop webcam, but the performances still show through, I think.
Regarding a few of the videos, the piano my wife played on is slightly out of tune, and so, the music might not sound as good as the other videos, since the other songs were performed on an electric keyboard. Lastly, each song deals with a vastly different theme, so none of the songs below are related to one another. Very good! Especially enjoyed Resurrection and Life song!

Re: Song My Wife Wrote And Performs
Thanks for sharing. She has a very good voice! However, you do need to take the time to record after the kids have gone to bed to get a recording without the distracting background noise. Her voice and the songs are good enough that they deserve that (as well as those of us taking time to listen)!

Re: Song My Wife Wrote And Performs
I really like the "Resurrection and the Life". I think your wife's voice is beautiful and soothing. I can listen to her sing all night, on a cd, on repeat, like I do with some other Christian songs.
"Suffer That Woman," is kind of peppy and great listening. Am I the only one who has a problem referring to Jesus Christ as my brother? Theologically, this is probably correct and I am open to be educated on the premise. Savior, Son of God, God, even friend... but brother? |
Re: Song My Wife Wrote And Performs
ya, not liking "brother" but otherwise awesome :D

Re: Song My Wife Wrote And Performs
Thanks, everyone. I will pass on to my wife the compliments.
Many of these were recorded when we lived in an apartment, and I worked third shift, so getting the kids to bed and recording afterward was out of the question. We have an opportunity to record an album for her (she has additional songs that we haven't made videos of yet). Hopefully we can get it all together soon. |
Re: Song My Wife Wrote And Performs
As far as calling Jesus brother, refer to the following verses of Scripture:
Hebrews 2:9-12, Quote:
Quote:
Quote:
He was and is not ashamed to call such people brothers, and so, neither my wife or I am ashamed to call Jesus our brother. We are His disciples, His students, and are members of His Father's family. He is the firstborn; we were born again and adopted (obviously much!!!) later. |

Any how, let's not make this post a Theology/Christology debate. |
