Traveling Light For Thanksgiving?
 

Anybody else leaving the area where they live to spend time with family and friends somewhere else for this Thanksgiving?

What are you taking with you?

Getting ready to drive 10 hours to be there for about 54 hours than 10 hours back.
Just taking a few changes of clothes.
But will be good to see the family.

I was just told that I can't take annual leave to cover Wed, Fri and Mon. Debating if I should even make the trip for one day. At least it is "do-able", but it will be about 16 hours of driving for a day with my family.

My Mom and I couldn't remember the last Thanksgiving I was actually home with the family. If I go home, I won't bring too much with me-- an open heart, a grateful heart and a hearty appetite.

I hear you!
Both my and my wife's parents are still alive, but not doing very well.
At least we will be able to see them, this trip.
I wish we lived closer, but I believe we are where God wants us to be.
