Can We Vett Refugees?

FBI Director James Comey on Wednesday told Congress that the federal government cannot conduct thorough checks on all of the coming influx of 10,000 refugees from Syria.
Appearing before the House Committee on Homeland Security, Comey said Syrians who aren't already in the FBI's database are unknown to the agency, meaning their backgrounds cannot be adequately scoured for a risk of terrorism.
'We can only query against that which we have collected,' Comey told the committee under questioning.

Would you take complete unknowns into your house?

Thousands of Refugees may be legitimate but it takes less than 10 slipped in terrorists to wreak havoc on a city like Paris, or Washington.

The answer is for America to conduct business as usual, or else ISIS wins. Maybe, at the most, stricter guidelines for some refugees from some areas, but to simply turn them away or do anything else that is out of the norm for the character of our nation is to cede victory to terrorists.

Only a fool thinks the goal of ISIS is to force America to not take in refugees from Syria. Their goal was not to force France to refuse Refugees.

Since 2011, only 2,034 Syrian refugees have been permitted in our country.

Maybe we can merge my Jeh Johnson thread with this thread as I didn't think about how similar in subject these threads would be.

If we are a Christian nation. we should reflect the truths of the good Samaritan in our refugee policy toward Syrians.

We aren't a Christian nation. If we are then we need to stop preventing prayer or the 10 commandments in school.

The Good Samaritan did not account for the crooks that jumped him pretending to be victims too and being sneaked into our nation. It's really not comparable.

If we want to be good Samaritans why not start with those our government is sworn to protect?

The issue is not about helping them. Its about keeping out crazy jihadists who want to kill Americans

Send in your address and be the first in your town to have a few of those families come live at your home. Also your pastor's, and your church family's homes. I think this is a little more complicated then attempting to prove some sort of Christian kindness to homeless refugees.
