Clinton +2: Economist/YouGovClinton 45, Trump 43
Clinton +5: McClatchy/MaristClinton 40, Trump 35, Johnson 10, Stein 5 Clinton +3: Economist/YouGovClinton 40, Trump 37, Johnson 5, Stein 2 RCP Poll Average 44.0 40.9 Clinton +3.1 Trending Down 4-Way RCP Average 40.3 36.3 Clinton +4.0 Trending Down The polls are all over the place in terms of who is leading in which poll. But they are incredibly alike in a couple aspects: 1) no poll has Trump over 44%. Trump, even with the lead, has never been higher in a poll than 44%. 2) In most polls which show him in the lead also show the reason is due to Hillary falling in the polls -- not Trump rising by much (1-3pts typically). |

56% believe Clinton should have been charged, including 30% of Democrats. These polls reflect the aftermath of that decision. If Trump could only muster a bounce of a few points... Not good.
I've said Trump is the weakest GOP candidate, but Hillary is the weakest Democrat candidate since Dukakis. This shouldn't be close. |

Again, we shall see.

Re: Trump 44 Clinton 37
Once the conventions are over, the gloves will come off and Hillary will be pilloried with ads about her lies, her corruption, her abuse of the State Dept for quid pro quos benefitting the Clinton foundation. Then the debates will come and Robot Hillary will get swallowed up in the charisma and sharp wit of Trump and her campaign will limp to November. Certainly there will be more terrorist attacks between now and then and her weak stance and Obama's weak stance on terrorism will seal the deal.
Trump will win easily. |
