We had to get up very early as Brother alvear had a type surgery on his varicose veins. No one wanted breakfast so we went directly to the clinic where it would be done. Needless to say when all was over we were "starved". Since it was really past lunch time Brother Alvear said, Let's just eat something here in town. So we stopped at a little restaurant and ordered just a simple lunch. BUT>>>>> as we started to enter I happened to look to the right and there sat a little lady...her clothes were ragged...hair matted....and she looked so hungry...

I head my son say...Mom, saw her....they all know I cannot pass a beggar without helping...

I kept watching out as we were eating and told the waitress I needed some food for the lady outside. I knew they would not let her come in....

When we walked out I went over and gave her the food we ordered for her....she was so hungry she reached in with her hands and got a handful of rice and put it in her mouth....her smile told me how thankful she was... God bless you she called out to me as I turned to let her eat ... and God bless you too I replied...

I read somewhere that some 795 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life. That's about one in nine people on earth..

We are so blessed.....never forget that fact....
