Obama wiretapped the Trump campaign

According to public records, and even the lame stream media, the Obama administration performed wiretaps on the Trump campaign during the election. All of which is laid out effortlessly by Levin, who is definitely no fan of Trump.

Did you see Schumer's response yesterday? He says either was Trump loses, whether the wire-tap accusation is true or not because if it is true, Trump must have done something horrible in order for a wire-tap to be requested.

You're the President.

Your intelligence agencies are reporting that the Russians (a hostile nation) are illegally hacking into servers belonging to the DNC and servers belonging to Congressional Democrats.

Your intelligence agencies report that it appears that the Russians are indeed searching for data on the current candidate of your party who is running for President. Data that can conceivably be used to sway public opinion, thereby illegally effecting the democratic process of a United States Presidential election.

Intelligence agencies report that they have verifiable evidence that Russian officials are meeting with top level members of the opposition candidate's campaign and that they are in contact with Russians who are giving sources and information on Russian intelligence assets.

Intelligence officials recommend a wiretap to monitor all communication between the candidate's campaign and the Russians.

What do you do?

What do you do?

It is illegal for a sitting President to authorize or execute a wiretap on any citizen, much less the man running for President from the opposing party.

Period. End of story.

Your story doesn't matter in regards to the legality of the situation. If obama or Lynch did this, they should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

That said, Trump better have some solid proof and present it. Too often, Trump has just gone on Twitter rants and made wild (and false) accusations against people. This is a very serious accusation, so he better not be making junk up as he did against his opponents during the primary.

Really, Aquila?

The first warrant (that was denied) was requested after Bill Clinton met with Lynch on a landing strip. Very few warrants are DENIED! They had absolutely nothing.

You people act all surprised, as if we were a nation of laws and principles, and not the world's greatest banana republic...

I'm not saying that it is legal. lol

I'm saying, if it could be a matter of national security, would you break the law, with the CIA and other intelligence agencies backing you?

Never said that they shouldn't be.

Agreed. My first impression was to dismiss it as another one of Trump's stupid, baseless, and blustery accusations. But, please notice, I'm giving him the benefit of a doubt.

We can't say that definitively. Are you so confident that you'd go on record with the wager of your first born's soul on it? I wouldn't.

Games are often played. If they have anything on Trump... they might be holding it close to their chest to completely obliterate him and/or the Republicans in the next election cycle.

I know, it's not uncommon for Presidents to bend and break the law almost routinely.
