Apostolic Commentary

There are a few but not many apostolic commentaries on the Bible. None on the whole Bible, that I know of, just certain books.

Is an apostolic Bible commentary needed?

Should it be exegetical? Expository? Devotional? Homiletical? Or...?

What do you all think?

Exegetical by someone who is full of the Holy Spirit and Wisdom, is well schooled in Greek, Hebrew and has great logic.

don't needs stories, devotions and preaching material should come straight from God.

Have you talked to Elder Kelley? We are working on a commentary for Genesis that he has written.

I would definitely like to get a copy as soon as it's available!

My daughter has just finished transcribing it from his chicken scratch to a micro-word doc., we have to edit it now and hopefully it will be available within the next year.

It is not a bad commentary to say the least, he did a great job. Course, he has been working on it for probably 5 plus years.

The elder could comment on a geneology from 1st Chronicles and it would contain more wisdom and spiritual gold than most books I've probably read on anything else.

:thumbsup

A remarkable man with a remarkable series of testimonies.

He's got a good sense of humour, too.

His name is William Kelley. He has probably gave more to missions than any one other person I have ever met. Good man, praying man.

He is based out of Tulsa where his daughter lives. He has evangelized for some years now, also travels a lot to other countries.

He just got back from Pakistan then went to England. He has been working with some russian speaking churches here in the US. Those churches have started baptizing in Jesus name, most in those churches have received the HG.

Two years ago he baptized a Lutheran minister, now that whole congregation is baptized in Jesus name.

He has probably turned more entire churches in our generation than anyone else I know.

Great man of God.
