KFC dropping Col. Sanders
 

KFC has decided to drop Colonel Sanders as their mascot. A spokesman for the company stated that they were in talks of removing the Colonel because he appeals to an older crowd.

"We already decided to can the Colonel because he appeals mostly to the geriatric segment of society, but we're going to make the move sooner than originally planned," said the spokesman.

When asked why the rush, the spokesman stated, "In light of recent events around the country we feel that we owe it to our customers to show that we are a multicultural company. Just like our menu that offers original recipe, crispy, and grilled chicken, KFC believes in variety around the work place. The Colonel represents the racist past of this country. Though Harland Sanders was not a real Colonel, his costume may trigger some of our more sensitive customers. We want our restaurants to be a safe space for everyone."

The spokesman also informed us that they may drop the letter "K" from "KFC."
"Kentucky is a southern state. Though most millennial may not be aware that the K stands for Kentucky, we feel that it is a responsible move. If we don't drop the letter we may designate it for something else, like Krispy. Krispy Fried Chicken has a nice ring to it. We have to consult our attorneys before moving forward. We don't want to enter a trademark war with a certain donut franchise."

They are going to change names of states which sound too southern.

First to go is Virginia.

Next will be Louisiana and Georgia.

Then Mississippi, and Alabama.

Kentucky will not be changed because the inhabitants all live in Indiana during the work week. They only go back to Kentucky on the weekends
