Job Promotion-- Sunny San Diego, CA
It is and it's not a promotion. My pay will probably stay the same for a little while, but this position provides a clear path for upward mobility within my organization.
It's not official at this point BUT the only way I can see this not happening is if God somehow stops or blocks this AND if He does stop or block this, I am sure it would be for my good-- but I probably would be disappointed in the short term. Anyway... I got a couple serious questions regarding situations like this and I am looking for wisdom. 1) Is it safe to have a mindset that prays, "God if XYZ is not Your Will, then just don't let XYZ happen, don't allow it, God stop this from happening if it is not Your Will"? 2) In the middle of typing this post, the system forced me to login again and now the other question I have is lost because I can't remember it right now. |
Re: Job Promotion-- Sunny San Diego, CA
I pray every morning before I leave the house for God to guide and direct my path and to give me wisdom and understanding. And then I listen for the still small voice to speak to me as I go about my day. And if doors open or close, I trust that God is in it.

I believe that God will honor your efforts to seek His will. Im glad for you man and I hope it works out better than you can even imagine.
I pray the blessings of the Lord overtake you and you not have the capacity to contain them. I pray He orders your steps and directs your path and gives you the land your feet touch. I pray that His favor rests upon you and goes before you. |

I have a hard time believing God would want anyone to live in California.
:bolt j/k Well, sort of... |

I tend to avoid making major decisions based on notions and gut feelings.
Does anyone else here try to avoid making major decisions based on notions and gut feelings? |

Just pray about it and read the word.
And even if you do not make the perfect decision, God is still with you. I would have mixed feelings about moving to SD. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the US, however it has a very high cost of living. But it also has a church that you should feel very comfortable in! |

Concerned about the cost of living too. My agency offers a 26% of salary incentive for cost of living expenses. |

The feelings I struggle with when making decisions isnt usually ones of carelessness or impulsivity but of fear, anxiety and low self esteem...I tend to be overly cautious. |
