There are 5 qualities of a man a woman needs to know before choosing a man to marry.

Three years ago, I prayed and asked the Lord to give me a man who loves and fears Him, a man after God’s heart. A lot of young Christian women nowadays have comprised when it comes to choosing a man to marry and some women set aside biblical standards in choosing for a lifetime partner.

Here are 5 lists of qualities of a man a woman needs to know before choosing a man to marry.

1.MAN THAT IS IN PRESENCE OF GOD. A lot of young Christian women nowadays who’s been dating unbelievers when they know themselves that Bible clearly warned us not to be unequally yoked together with unbelievers; for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness (2 Corinthians 6:14) and later on suffer from their poor choices. When God made man, He took the man and put him into the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:15). The word “Eden” is a complicated word in Hebrew which is the word “spot “it means “a delightful spot”. When God made the first male, He put it in His presence. The first thing God gave a man is not a woman but “His presence”. A woman should choose a man that is in the presence of God and should meet him at His presence. Ladies, no matter how handsome, rich or wonderful a man may seem if he is not in the presence of God, then He is not the right man for you. I could really see some women who leave the presence of God and find a brother and then try to drag him back to His presence. Let’s remember this ladies, Eve met Adam in Eden.

2.MAN WITH A WORK. When God took man and put him to Eden (Genesis 2:15), He also commanded man to dress it and keep it which the word literally means “to work it”. So ladies, the second thing God gave to man is not a woman but a work. A man needs a job before a woman. I have seen a lot of married couple nowadays in which the only one who’s working and providing for family is the woman. The original structure of a family is broken. Ladies, a lazy man is a no good man. As vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes so is a sluggard to those who send him (Proverbs 10:26)

Hi Mercy, nice to meet you! You have written a great article on this subject. However, I have found when reading blogs, that I learn the most when I read about the personal experiences from someone, rather than just do's and don'ts. Perhaps, in a future post, you could share how following the list you just blogged about worked in your life.
