Apocalyptic Thoughts

Apocalyptic Thoughts Amid Nature’s Chaos?

CLEWISTON, Fla. — Vicious hurricanes all in a row, one having swamped Houston and another about to buzz through Florida after ripping up the Caribbean.

Wildfires bursting out all over the West after a season of scorching hot temperatures and years of dryness.

And late Thursday night, off the coast of Mexico, a monster of an earthquake.

You could be forgiven for thinking apocalyptic thoughts, like the science fiction writer John Scalzi who, surveying the charred and flooded and shaken landscape, declared that this “sure as **** feels like the End Times are getting in a few dress rehearsals right about now.”

Or the street corner preacher in Harlem overheard earlier this week ranting about Harvey, Irma and Kim Jong Un, in no particular order.

Ole J. Benedictow describes how he calculated that the Black Death killed 50 million people in the 14th century, or 60 per cent of Europe's entire population. The disastrous mortal disease known as the Black Death spread across Europe in the years 1346-53.

Below is a list of famines
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_famines

Futurists focus on "GREATEST" Tribulation. Everything leading up to that are birth pangs. But these birth pangs don't get greater, they fluctuate all over the place. Getting less if you were to place them on an actual graph. Studying out earthquakes, you will find that the record holding earth quake was in Chile May 22, 1960 measuring at 9.4–9.6. Nothing stronger than that one for 57 years, they get less in strength. Nothing ever registering at a 10 or above. Which scientists believe if we were to have an earthquake 10 or above it would compromise the crust of the earth. May possible cause a chain reaction destroying the planet.

150 million people died in wars in the last 150 years. The world is not getting better as you might think. We are now in a position of destroying our entire planet at the push of a button.

You must get your statistics the same place you get your Bible studies.

Of the past 3,400 years, humans have been entirely at peace for 268 of them, or just 8 percent of recorded history. At least 108 million people were killed in wars in the twentieth century. Estimates for the total number killed in wars throughout all of human history range from 150 million to 1 billion.

7.442 billion is the current population of the earth.

One push of a button can't get rid of you, therefore it can't destroy the entire planet. You don't preach Good News, you preach Bad News. Sean, do you attend a church? Do they still frown when you show up for service?

Re: Apocalyptic Thoughts

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

More good news?
