What would you have done?
 

So I'm on a nice beach in Florida today with my wife and 3 children, ages between 6 & 13.
We took a few days off for some family r&r.

We picked out an area at one end of the beach where there weren't very many people, trying to escape the extreme lack of modesty.
While we were snorkeling, I noticed 2 gay guys showed up and were about 40 yards angled back behind our spot on the beach, they were making out, all over each other.


I was trying to figure out how to get my children not to notice it, and plan a way out of there.

Trouble was, to get out of there we had to almost go right by them.

We waited a while, my wife and I, keeping our kids "busy. At one point, for about 5 mins, the one guy (who was trying to be in control of things) took his shorts all the way off, and was laying naked next to the other gay, (who still had his speedos on) getting all handsy with him. Not sure the law on all this mess anymore.


I finally rounded up my family, and took a long way out of there, doing my best to keep their attention away from that filth.

Then, I went back over to the guys, and expressed a few words.

I asked them Why they had to do all that nasty junk right here in front of everybody and while little kids are running around?
The one in response said, Did you kiss your wife out here?

I said no, I'd kiss her in private though. (Knowing he was only trying to show if it's ok for me, it's ok for them....even though they were all over each other).

I said so where's the line on how far you guys will go with this junk, in front of little children, and you even had all your clothes off!?

Then, the weaker of the two weaklings said ok, we'll stop.
I said ,What about you(to the other guy that was leading in the mess and had replied about kissing), how much is too much in front of children?

The other gay, and then him both then replied they'd stop.

So I then left. Naturally, saw 2 more older guys holding hands, on my way leaving...

Nasty junk makes me sick.

How would you have handled that kind of mess? Call the police? Just left without saying anything?

Find a quieter beach. That is what we did in LA. We do the same thing here in Wisconsin.

Called the police. If the one was truly naked, they would be charged with public indecency

Rest assured, I wish I'd have done that.

I'm not familiar with beaches and their laws.

Or should I say how long have you lived in Florida?

Don't go to beaches down here unless you KNOW who and what you will encounter.

I would stay off the beach unless you are ready to confront the perversion that exists there.

The public nudity however and even the illicit display of PDA is against the law just about everywhere-- except for nude beaches.

My dad and I took a trip to the Keys several years ago, and made a day of seeing Key West. On one of the strips, there was a three story nightclub, with a large sign painted on the wall that read "Third Level: Clothing Optional".

Depending on where James Glen went, I don't think he would have had much success with local law enforcement.

We were at Lido Beach.
(Just slightly north of Siesta Key Beach)
