I really, really, wish that the folks on the left would not take things so far-- in rhetoric, in condemnation, in action.

Generally speaking, LIBERALS do the most damage to the causes for which they are most passionate.

Educated adults shouldn't allow themselves to constantly be driven by emotion.

JD - it is not just that they "take things so far". It is that they actually believe what they say!
You cannot have an honest discussion with these people.
Because if you disagree you are a racist or some other buzz word.

Some of their attitudes DO NOTHING to actually facilitate thoughtful and constructive discourse on our differences.

If our media is to be blamed for any of our societal ills, THIS clearly reflects their guilt: in their attempt to make more money, they strive to appeal to their individual consumer markets in ways that would never encourage thoughtful and constructive discourse. They make money off of our division and their profits are more important than our unity.

Those who don't take a knee aren't racists.

They simply don't care about the plight of fellow citizens who have suffered excessive force or even unnecessary death at the hands of a militarized and often trigger happy law enforcement.
