Took a nap the other day and had a dream...

...that Los Angeles was destroyed by a nuclear missile (not bomb).

In the dream I was with two of my children and we were very high up in the atmosphere, almost to the point of being in outer-space.

It seemed we were somewhere above Texas or at least the Southern Plains states (We live in WI, by the way). We could see California from our vantage point and watched as the missile came in and blew the place to pieces.

Very calmly, I began to explain to my children what a nuclear missile is and does. I began to talk to them about radiation and what it means for a location to become irradiated.

The concussive blast of the missile travelled all the way to where we were perched. It buffeted us like a very strong wind. My kids covered their ears and began to cry. I rode out the blast and that's how the dream ended.

Ever since I was in college, and I was in an 400-level Urban Geography class, I have wondered about Los Angeles being a more prime target than say, New York or Chicago. The reason being the professor made an off-handed remark about the port of Los Angeles doing over a billion dollars a day of business, and if a terrorist really wanted to hurt this nation, destroying the port would likely completely immobilize or even destroy the national economy, perhaps for good.

So, maybe the dream was just a strange rehash of that idea coupled with all the furor over North Korea and their alleged ICBMs with a bit of the Harvey Weinstein catastrophe thrown in.

Personally, if the dream means anything, I do not think it ought to be taken literally. Rather, I see it as a metaphorical or spiritual dream, showing or symbolizing the detonation and onslaught of a greater degree of spiritual wickedness coming out of LA than ever previously experienced in the USA, that sweeps over the nation, something that not everyone will be able to handle, due to their immaturity in Christ, that could cause them to stumble.

Then again it could symbolize judgment from the Holy Father, that causes a reverberation in the Spirit across the land that disquiets and upsets the young in Christ.

And then again, maybe it was only a dream.

With all the scandals about Hollywood breaking I was wondering the other day if Los Angeles might be Babylon.

Let's add this concern to our prayers this week. If there is anything literal about it, perhaps the hand of God can intervene. If it is symbolic, perhaps we can rebuke the enemy for another generation.

I certainly hope it was a dream without any prophetic value.

Sinful men do live in Hollywood. But they also live in every other city of our nation. There are plenty of honest, hardworking family men who live there as well.

If I recall, Azusa Street is in Los Angeles. So the contributions to society that come out of LA must be seen in ways other than a few sinful men.

Re: Took a nap the other day and had a dream...

People look for meanings in dreams. Recently my cousin made some posts on Facebook. In one she stated that she dreamt of her dead cousin. He was a bit older than her. He died when she was a little girl... so I don’t know what kind of relationship they had. But everyone gets on the bandwagon and tells her that he’s trying to communicate with her.

Two days ago she posted that she dreamt that someone died. She was seeking an explanation. I told her that it meant nothing- I dream of dead people all the time.

Recently I had a strange dream. I shared it with Jedi will. I dreamt that I was watching I Love Lucy in color. Lucy began to speak in tongues perfectly. And then she was looking at me, speaking to me. I don’t remember what she said. I woke up and was like, that’s creepy. Lol. But I was reading about communism and socialism before bed. And I believe that Lucy was a communist, correct?

When we sleep thoughts of the day link with things that we know, things we’ve read and discussed, things we learned years ago... everything kinda links up like a google search. Things that have the most in common come to the front, and the least in common are at the bottom. Search result 1 and search result 100 may have nothing in common except for the words entered into the search bar.
