Can anyone shed some light on what the Apostolic Ministers Alliance (AMA) is all about?

Possibly a mechanism for getting people to send in yearly or monthly "dues" in exchange for a slip of paper and a hall pass to special meetings?

Honestly I have no idea, but I am curious as to why we seem to have new denominations and licensing schemes popping up every year.

Is this made up of mainly former UPC ministers?

Very old Oneness group Elder L. R. Ooten was chairman at one time. It was small mostly in the Midwest.

I love this stuff. When I was a boy my Grandparents lived close to Peoria there I visited two AMA churches one in Peoria and one in Springfield. Elder Ooten was a legend himself in that part of the country he pastored in Indiana. I have no idea if the group still exists or not. I could not find anything recent about it?

Elder, is the group you mentioned the same I see and hear about today, with Michael Keller from Grand Rapids MI as the Chairman?

And is there a difference with the Apostolic Ministers Alliance and the Apostolic Ministerial Alliance?

What I know of the group in grand rapids, they have little to zero separation standards. But they do still teach oneness, baptism in Jesus name and receiving the holy ghost.
