You mentioned that bridge job a while back. I got a young guy I go to church with that lives around Ferriday. How can he apply to work there? Or are they still hiring? Just trying to help the guy out.

No. IS he over 21? He can go to WIN job center in Natchez and put in application for VonDrehle Corp. They are hiring, although they do not get in a hurry.

no...hes 18...good kid just needs some guidance in life...and has a kid on the way. hes talkin crazy about joining the military right after becoming more stable in church...trying to help him process a little and if he could get into something decent close to home that'd be good cause of baby and all.

Tell him to go to indeed.com then search in his state for underground utility locators. On job paid training, he'll make good money he just has to have a clean driving record and be a go-getter.

Local. You get a company truck, keep it at the house, drive all over your assigned area, meet construction and utility contractors and reps every day, tracing and marking buried utility lines.

You'd mostly be by yourself except for occasional meetings at the office. Have to be able to work independently to succeed at that business.

Theyre usually always hiring in Houston, too.

USIC, Utiliquest, and Heath are the big names in that line of work (last I knew, anyway). There are also other companies, lesser known.

Heath is usually always hiring for either meter-readers or gas leak detectors (not dangerous although it sounds like it, lol).
