Conversation with street child
 

THIS IS SO SWEET:

Last night I had just laid down when I received a text message. It was from Vitor one of the most responsible street (favela) boys. He is probably (who really knows?) . around 13 or 14. It was a picture and a little saying...then a hello...another picture...another hello...
I responded, hello
Vitor...Is all ok?
Me...yes
Vitor...Where is grandpa?
Me...He is asleep.
Vitor...Where is my aunts from America? (The girls visiting us)
Me...they have gone to church with Aunt Marcela. ( Michael's wife)
Vitor...Tomorrow am going to be in church with you.
Me...wonderful
Vitor...I love you very much, mawmaw
Me...I love you too my little son.
Vitor . and Saturday I will be there with others to stay until Sunday night after church
me ... OK, my little heart...
Vitor...tell my new aunts I love them too
me...ok

Vitor ... One day mawmaw you will always live with God

me.... thanks
Vitor... mawmaw many thanks for all you do for me may God repay you in double

meall of you all are the joy of my life
Vitor ... Mawmaw . I wish God would give me a cell phone to always talk to you
Me...I will pray for that to happen

Vitor...When night comes now we know we have a God that watches over us...Good night, Mawmaw...
AND he sends me 4 more verses and says once again...I love you...

He had borrowed a "bandits" phone....To some they are the scum of the earth...to me they are precious little boys and girls that had no choice of where they were to be born...They are precious souls for whom Christ died....

I love them very much...

That conversation made me want to buy him a little phone....wonder if you might feel to help a little boy have a phone?

If so...if money comes in I will buy Vitor a phone...It would make him feel safer...

I love these children so much....the world's outcasts are my precious babies....Took soup to them Monday...yesterday sandwiches (200)... hoping to feed some tonight...

I went hungry many times as a child....Hunger is a terrible thing...no child should have to go to bed hungry....

Not sure I still have it. But if I do I can give the phone itself, will have to have other help for a carrier?

The phone I thought I had is broken.

We really should have people donate old phones to missions. Some could be sold for $$, and others could be used for a cause like yours.

Maybe they wont get shattered in a drawer that way.
