Great testimony
My husband's parents were divorced when he was two.He met his dad in person when he was thirty five. His dad passed away a few years back and he has never since met any other family. His grandma died a few years later.Anyway since I started doing genealogy I found his cousins from Ca.Today has been a great day.His cousin Gail who is a church going person called us and they
have had the best hour long conversation.I have to say that its a joyful day in our house. Its really hard on a person to not know their family. So I guess the next great thing will be a trip to Southern Ca. |

Sis.Sherri I want to say meeting his dad for the first time was like an adopted person meeting their birth parent. You get to see the person that you resemble.
His dad did though call and support him. That was a good thing. He was not a dead beat.It was quite painful that he passed away and was cremated without even discussing it with his two sons or even allowing them closure. They wanted to fly right out to Ca and were told its too late he's already cremated. So meeting his other family members was such a joy. However his stepdad was like a real dad to him and is an electronics tech.My husband is a comp tech.He has known only his step dad for a father figure. It sure did rub off.lol. |
