Grandmother and aunt visit church

Last Wednesday my grandmother visited church with me. Before we left we invited my aunt to attend. She asked if it’s a Pentecostal church. I afirmed that it is. She kinda made a face -and declined. She said that she was going to stay home (she moved in recently, relocated from CA) and read the bible. I doubt that even happened. :lol

My grandmother enjoyed church, for the most part. She said that the people were very friendly. However, she did not return today. I think she was put off by something. She’s used to mass.

Today my aunt INVITED herself to attend church with me. She did enjoy it. She was hesitant when I told her the service is in Spanish. I don’t see the issue -she speaks Spanish. My aunt stated that the people were nice, REAL christians. :)

Hermano invited my aunt to Thursday night cell group. I pray that she visits. My grandmother enjoyed the times she atteded. Maybe she’ll also visit!

A lot of older catholics miss the solemnity of the old school mass, so sometimes have a hard time adjusting to Novus Ordo (new mass) services, let alone a typical Pentecostal service.

I hope they continue to visit.

How’s your abuela and tia? Did they visit again?

No. My grandmother was put off by something. I haven’t asked.

My aunt.., well, her son came from Arkansas to visit for a weekend. I had mentioned that his mother visited church with me. He asked if she liked it. I said that she did. She interrupted with, “I didn’t say that I liked it.”
So there’s that.
