Happy Pentecost!
This Sunday is Pentecost, the Feast of Weeks, commemorating both the descent of God upon Sinai and the descent of God upon the new Zion in the outpouring of the Spirit (Acts 2).
It is also the Feast of Firstfruits, the end of the barley harvest and the beginning of the wheat harvest. The harvest was sanctified by the Waving of the Sheaf of the Firstfruits during Passover week, just as Christ was resurrected on that day making possible the harvest of souls 50 days later in Acts 2. Not only that, but it's a good day to have homemade lasagna! Can't wait. :happydance |

Re: Happy Pentecost!
In assuming that most (if not all) Apostolic churches had services this Sunday reflecting the birth of the church and the gift of Pentecost, did any one church have a particularly "special" service? Like, for example, did the Spirit manifest stronger than usual?
