Death penalty

God instituted it and I am a believer in it. I wish they would happen a little quicker though so all the money isn’t wasted on them. Just curious if most are for it or against it?

In theory, I am for it.

In this country, a person is more likely to face terminal justice if they are a person of color or poor.

I would not want to serve on a jury where the death penalty would be an option.

I agree with that.

What’s your reasoning?

I’m against taking a mans/women’s life. If a man and or women commit a crime, yes they should be punished. In my opinion not by death, our law is mercy, love, forgiveness.

I remember the Kasey Anthony case, and I was in a church talking afterwards and I don’t remember how her case came up as a topic. One of the men started saying she should be killed, you do the crime you pay..... and when I heard that it felt wrong for an Apostolic to be saying that. Remember the worst of the worst can still be saved! Charles Manson before he died could’ve asked forgiveness and God would’ve forgave him. He could’ve received the Holy Ghost.

So you agree with the death penalty as long as some one else throws the switch?

Yah what’s wrong with that? I love our military and thankful for it but don’t have 1 ounce of a desire to be a part of it. Just because I’m “ pro “ something doesn’t mean I want to be involved with it. In fact there are somethings in the Bible I’m for but don’t even agree with. But I know I’m wrong and the word is right so I’m for it.

You get jury duty, but we no longer have a draft. But when we did have a draft some folks weren't so quick to see their children go off to fight in a rice paddy. But like I said we have jury duty, and since you want to see people get what is coming to them. Then you should do the heavy lifting if you are ever chosen to send a teenager to fry.
