Re: Tony Spell has church in spite of the ban

We had church last night in spite of the ban, the COGIC church a block away had church also.

Talked to their bishop and he said that they were having church on Sunday too.

It is pretty sad when a COGIC pastor has more faith than the oneness churches …

Re: Tony Spell has church in spite of the ban

They have already went from a 15 day ban to a 30 to 45 day ban.

Sorry but they are not going to stop.

We will be having church at regular scheduled service times.

Anybody want to go to a church with faith?

Got a close relative who canceled his services for a month. Told me that God is going to clean the "Junk" out of the assembly!

That is a good way to shut your assembly down.

It amazes me how all these preachers, claiming that nothing is going to come between them and God, have already succumbed to the pressure to quit having church!!!

Wow and again I say WOW!!!

From the article:

"On Wednesday morning, after the church's service was broadcast on local news, several church members were suspended from work, Spell said, because their employers feared spreading the virus."

Sad. Hopefully the church will do right and make sure these family's bills are paid and they have food and necessities while they're suspended from work.

Not sad, expected. This is some of the cost I was talking about last night.

The church should step in and help them, I agree. All hands on deck.

If they are suspended without pay, some good lawyer will be happy to take this case...
You could make the argument that they were suspended due to the religious practices/requirements.

His pastor should pay his bills.

Per the LA discrimination laws, it covers businesses with 20 or more employees.

They would have to prove that the suspension was solely due to their religion, which isn't the reason for the suspension. The employee was not required to attend the service. The company can point to the state's ban on 50 or more people, and easily show the church and employee ignored it.
