Offshore Drilling Job at Risk

My oldest son works on a deep water drilling ship and yesterday his company filed for bankruptcy. Thankfully the reorganization type not to dissolve the company.

He has a specialized job on board and even if they lost their contract and stop drilling the company will have to keep at least one person that does his job onboard to maintain the ship.

Please help me pray for everyone involved whose jobs are affected and in particular that my son will be able to keep his job. He is a hard worker and veteran of the Iraq war,

This is a crisis that is stretching far above and beyond the healthcare system. Will be praying for your son, and for all those whose jobs may be on the line, or already are. May God give us wisdom and discernment in how best to prepare for the difficult days that are on the horizon.

Thanks everybody for your prayers! The company has communicated with employees that they plan on continuing operations as is. That the bankruptcy is to re-negotiate their loan payments (they have $2 billion dolars in debt). Hopefully that will remain the case. We will know more about how the future of his job looks if their contract to move to drill off the coast of Africa for a client happens within the next year as their current contract finished up in the Gulf of Mexico.

Just now seeing this prayer request.
Thankful to hear the company will continue as is.
Praying all works out well!
