It seems a little bit fantasy to me, but I do know oil production changes can be catastrophic to the economy, and can happen suddenly.

I think if the gov't envisions the situation in time, it could smooth it out by subsidizing the oil industry to make it "profitable".

Folks been talking about Deagel for a couple years I think. Nobody has any hard data on who they are or what they are saying, if they have inside info or if it's total bunk fantasy, or what.

A weird anomaly, in other words.

It is not shortage. It is extraction being more costly than the price they can sell it for, increasing the possibility of a crash and then a drop in extraction.

The correction could shake the economy badly, unless the gov’t smooths it out with subsidies by printing money.
