Praying to avoid disaster

Sitting in South Florida and watching the wind increasing as I type. I have brothers and sisters all over the state. When a storm starts to approach us we don't want a direct hit. Praying that please make the hurricane go elsewhere. But when we pray for a hurricane to goes elsewhere and not hit us, it must hit someone else. The prayer we need to pray is get us all through these situations with little to no damage. This storm is still increasing and 150 mph at this time. Sarasota County is catching a beating. The Publix Supermarket in Cooper City was hit by a tornado. This storm is wobbling and being driven by its thunder storms. So, it is heading down main street Winter Haven with hurricane force winds for 24hrs. Please pray for all in the way of this storm.

How are you doing today Sister?

I have people heading back to Northport, Punta Gorda, today. 2.5 million people are without power. The hurricane made landfall on one of the smaller islands near Sanibel Island. Lee County Sheriff is reporting 100s of fatalities. Lee is only one county. Still I don't understand how he could even estimate 100s of deaths. Storms not finish as it heads towards Orlando.

My neighborhood did okay. We are without power, some trees are down, minimal property damage. I have wonderful neighbors we check on each other and help each other out. They all watch out for me in particular since my husband died and I live alone.

By the time Ian hit our area it was a Cat 1. My heart and prayers go out to those who bore the brunt of the Storm as a Cat 4. So devastating.

How are you and your family doing Bro Benincasa?
