Thought You Might Like This
I am a Florida Department of Corrections Chaplain. Today we had a yard event with a couple of churches providing worship music, and one of the pastors preached, and men were water baptized.
My inmate orderly, who received Christ in a prison cell after almost being stabbed almost 12 years ago, and at his last camp, he was baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. He has been talking to me about water baptism because he has never been fully submerged in water. He asked if I would baptize him in the Name of Jesus. We talked, and I shared my history and told him I had been baptized in the Name of Jesus. I told him to pray, that I would pray, and that we would see what God does. I knew the churches conducting the yard event would not do that for him, as it is not their doctrine. Today at 1:45 PM, I was honored to baptize that man at his request in the Name of Jesus. 2 other men behind him asked if I would do the same for them, and I was honored to do that. I have been a chaplain for going on 10 years, and I have Oneness Pentecostals, Trinitarian Pentecostals, and Baptists who learn to worship together in the Spirit of Christ. |
