Movie - Bridge to Terabithia

Has anyone seen this movie yet? If so, do you recommend an 11 year old girl seeing it?

Thanks!

I took my kids to see it. It was good. There is a sad scene in it that upset my kids. But it was a good movie.

Thanks for the info. I've read a bit about the movie and think it should be okay for her to see.

I saw it last weekend. It is an interesting, well-done movie and perfectly fine for an 11 year old.

HOWEVER, having said that, let me say this: One of the main characters is a little girl (she and the boy are "best friends" and the two main characters). She goes to church with the little boy one Sunday and on the way home they have a discussion about who goes to heaven and who doesn't. She has a VERY liberal slant on things. Kind of like, anybody who is a nice person will get in. Then she dies. And there is a little blurb reflecting back to that conversation earlier, assuring the boy that the girl is surely in heaven.

Not good theology. But if your 11 year old already knows better, and if you are there to discuss it right afterwards with her, I think you'll still enjoy the movie.

She saw the movie and enjoyed it very much and she does know better. One must be saved to enter the pearly gates. Thanks.
