College & Career Curriculum

I will be taking the College & Career class at our church soon....

Can anyone make any good suggestion on some relevant & effective College & Career Curriculum?

I am working on a layout right now and I may well go that direction.

I'm just looking to see if there is anything out there that is well done, relevant to an 18-24 year old's actual life with an emphasis on spiritual growth and just good ole 'one foot in front of the other' practical application of Christian principles to daily life.

It very well may be the case that I design my own.

I've developed several 12-week series (45 min lessons) with teachers manual and student worksheets on:

Developing Christian Character
Principles of Christian Living
Spiritual World: Angels & Demons
From a Victim to a Conqueror (in progress)

If you end up writing your own curriculum, I'd be interested in trading resources.... if you're up to it....

That would be great...

I will let you know as things develop. You have given me extra incentive to look into pulling this together myself. :)

I don't know about curriculum, but would suggest teaching on finances: budgeting, staying out of debt, etc.

A subject that is near and dear to my heart and that I also find VERY important...

Excellent suggestion... thanks so much.

(especially with a few of them about to be married in about a year)

Let me use Pragmatist's suggestion to expand this thread a little...

What issues do you find important that you feel should be included in a curriculum for 18-24 apostolic young people today?

Any suggestions will be apprecaited.

Pragmatist 07-10-2007 09:55 AM

Seeking a mate/relationships in general

Changing bad patterns from family of origin

Decision making with foresight

I agree 1000%!!!!

Although God has allowed me to be blessed with my finances and remain out-of-debt.... I hardly consider myself wise regarding this area of life, and I know that I still have a LOT to learn....

The average College n Career person likely has thousands in debt due to college loans and/or credit cards.... teaching on finances is good for EVERYONE, but is rarely, if ever, taught on....

Does anyone have any church-friendly, finance-related curriculums???
