Why did you have children?

Because I see them as my blessing.I grew up the youngest of five and was born to my parents in their forties.I spent much of my life living like an only child.I was
super excited every time I found out I was expecting a child.Its great to have a family life.If I could have had ten I would have.Children are great and when they
grow up they make great friends as well.

One cannot understand love until they have become a parent.

I can't believe the love I have for my kids, and if I love them this much-imagine God's love for me!!

Real reason - to complete our family. Both children were planned and God blessed us with a healthy boy and a girl, so we stopped at two. That way we didn't have to buy a mini van!

I'll probably still be alone in my old age and holidays, but at least I have beautiful memories, videos and pictures to look at - lol!!!!

That is probably a better way of saying it. I know I understand the Love of God much better. But I also love my wife more too. I understand my love for my wife better.

something about seeing that baby for the first time...it just changes you.

The first one was a surprise beyond words. :)

We were married 3 months when we found out that we were expecting.
She was the girl I wanted. Continues to be to this very day. She is my favorite daughter born in Louisiana.

The 2nd one was the one who would round it out.

We already had a girl and wanted a boy. He was prophesied to us. We named him before any ultrasound or anything because the man of God told us when he would come and that he would be a boy.
I was raised with 2 brothers and I had wanted a girl. I got my girl and it was time for a boy. I never understood how wonderful it is to teach a young boy to be a man.
He loves everything about being a rough and tumble boy and yet he never fails to open doors for his mom and sisters.
He is my favorite son.

The 3rd one came right on the heels of #2. 20 months later.
Kelly Clarkson sings a song about her. Miss Independent. :) When I ask if I can help her with something I already know the answer... "No sir... I got it" :)
She is one amazing young lady. She is headstrong like her mama. :)

When we first got married I saw that as something that needed to change. My wife and this little one has helped me see that we ALL bring something very different to the table and the key is to hone what we are for the use of the kingdom rather than trying to make everybody into the same people.

2 were shockers beyond belief and one was fully expected. All 3 are some amazing individuals which make me proud all the time.

My oldest prayed for an hour on her own the first time when she was 3... and I mean wailing... she is one of a kind. She is 14 and starting to play the keyboard for our chruch more and more.

My second loves the altar. He loves to pray and cry before the Lord. He is 11 and is going to be a preacher and a trucker and about 10 other things. :)

My third loves her daddy. She had trouble praying standing up (as in church service etc). LOL... funny thing but she just couldn't pray unless she was kneeling. She was excited the other day that she was finally able to pray standing up. Interesting little battle she had there but she whipped it and dad rejoiced with her.

They all keep their rooms clean... well... they clean their own rooms... they tend to have to be told to do so sometimes.

They clean the kitchen after each meal.

Mom is having to work right now (as well as dad... of course) and they keep the clothes washed, dried and put away.

They love to help me with my garden. Well... the younger 2 do... :)

They simply know how to be an integral and working part of a household.

Well... you made me start talking about my kids and I tend to go on and on about them.

Children are a wonderful blessing and a formidable responsibility. I love them all and thank God for their presence in my home and life.

Love kids....wanted a dozen... said I would settle for six. Had three girls three years in a row and probably would have continued to have kids if God hadn't stepped in and said... "ok, enough now....you're gonna kill yourself" I never did anything temperate.

It is a lot more overwhelming than I ever imagined, but like Ferd... I don't think you ever know/understand love until you have kids.
