The Romance Thread
I must confess that I am a hopeless romantic at heart. I still love to date my wife, and love holding her hand after almost 20 years of marriage. She hears me tell her how pretty she is several times a day, and a day does not end that I have not said "I Love You" numerous times.
She is everything to me. It is not a hard thing to love her as Christ loves the Church. I truly feel that if need be, I would give my life in exchange for her safety.
With that said, one of the things that I use to cultivate our love is music. I am not talking about songs that generate passion and lust, but songs that cause you to want to just sit close to your spouse and look into each others eye's. I really feel that some marriages would be stronger if more time was given to this type of relationship building. Love songs are a beautiful thing, and they often minister to the heart in a sometimes spiritual way.
For better or worst, I am just a romantic at heart. My life would be incomplete, and my house would not be a home, if my lovely wife was not there.
