What is God Doing in the World Today?
 

What do you see God doing in the world today? What is He doing in the church? What do you think He is trying to accomplish right now?

My opinion:

God is alive and well in the world today.
He is pouring out His Spirit upon all flesh.
He is found by all who seek Him.
He is confirming His Word with signs following.
He is developing and perfecting His children.

James Russell Lowell put it like this:

Careless seems the great Avenger; history's pages but record
One death grapple in the darkness 'twixt old systems and the Word.
Truth forever on the scaffold, Wrong forever on the throne--
Yet that scaffold sways the future and, behind the dim unknown,
Standeth God within the shadow, keeping watch above His own.

Brother, God is doing whatever we allow.

It is a sobering thought to think we tie the hands of God with our doubt and inaction.

God is gathering an army, especially of young sold-out,on fire Christians who are not afraid to stand in the face of the devil and who are not afraid to stand for holiness. I think they will totally change the face of the Body of Christ during this next 10-20 years. JMHO!:winkgrin

You must sense that God is doing something in the earth and in the church, hence the question.

Instead, I would ask you: What do you suppose God is doing in both the earth and the church?

A better questions is "What is God doing through YOU right now?" and I don't just mean Pastor Poster, I mean "you"!

God is getting His message to lost men in prison and seeing them repsond to the Gospel message. God is teaching 12 years olds what it means to have a covenant relationship with Him. God is teaching older single adults that He has not forgotten them and expects them to continue in the faith. God is teaching my children that it is possible to live for Him and live in this world.

God is doing many things. What is he doing through you?
